Acto Latino Theater Group

Acto Latino Theater Group was founded for the purpose of fostering interest in Hispanic/Latino language, culture, and literature through the presentation of Spanish-language plays to a diverse audience.  Acto Latino encourages students, staff, faculty, and members of the community-at-large (regardless of background) to join the club. Interest in Hispanic/Latino culture, literature, language, and/or Spanish theater is the only requirement.

On October 9th, Acto Latino performed two plays in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. El Cruce de los Sueños is an original piece created from the real immigration experiences of Acto Latino students and relatives.  Los Vendidos is an adaptation of an original play by Luis Valdez.

On October 11th, Acto Latino and Los amigos Spanish club also had the opportunity to participate in the Hispanic Serving Institution Student Showcase with the intention of recruiting students and highlighting minority serving organizations. The clubs tabled and interacted with about 175 students, as we celebrated CSUSB being a Minority and Hispanic Serving Institute. (We ran out of flyers and candy as well.)
