Welcome to the College of Arts & Letters, a dynamic and caring community of students, faculty, and staff members united by a passion for the arts and humanities. Our College inspires students to learn and prepares them for the rapidly changing cultural and employment environment of the 21st century. Taught by faculty who are experts in their fields, our classes and programs provide students with tools for success in a world that values written and oral communication skills, analysis, critical thinking, and creativity--perhaps as never before!
CSUSB students can pursue minors in these disciplines as well as Interdisciplinary Minors in Philosophy, Policy, and Economics, American Studies, and area studies of Latin America and Asia. Our graduate program includes the MFA in Studio Art and the MA in Communication Studies, English Composition, and Spanish. Our college facilities and opportunities for student enrichment are outstanding. Students interning for Coyote Radio and Coyote Advertising enjoy invaluable career preparation in a variety of fields. We are home to the magnificent Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art, which houses the largest permanent, public display of ancient Egyptian artifacts in Southern California. Student musical recitals and dramatic performances take place in the Barnes Theatre, which seats 149, and art students enjoy state of the art facilities, including a glassblowing studio. I encourage prospective students to visit our beautiful campus. To our returning students and faculty, I look forward to celebrating our successes with you this year!
